What is Wear BLUE?

There is an ongoing, increasing and predominantly silent crisis in the health and well-being of men. Due to a lack of awareness, poor health education, and culturally induced behavior patterns in their work and personal lives, men’s health and well-being are deteriorating steadily. Society is being dramatically affected because men are living approximately 5 years less than women. Wear BLUE was created by Men’s Health Network to raise awareness about men’s health issues.

A Wear BLUE event can educate men, women, and their families of the need to raise awareness of this silent crisis in men’s health. Use the information, tools, and resources on this site to help you plan an impactful Wear BLUE event in your workplace, religious, or community group. Wear BLUE provides a unique platform for awareness and education efforts as well as visual support.

To participate, use our online tools to plan your event with friends, family, coworkers, and colleagues.[/toggle]
[toggle title=”How will the funds raised be used?”]Funds raised will be used to continue our work of providing free educational materials, speakers, screenings, and other information on a variety of men’s health topics to religious institutions, community groups, and other venues who might not have the ability to pay.[/toggle]
[toggle title=”When can I host a Wear BLUE event?”]Pick any day (or days). A Sunday at church, a Friday at work, a Monday with your book club. Choose any day![/toggle]
[toggle title=”Will I receive a tax receipt?”]Anyone who provides a check for any funds of $10 or more written directly to Men’s Health Network will receive an acknowledgement within two to four weeks of receiving the check.[/toggle]
